I don’t have a pull-quote I want to lean on yet. I’d rather the book speak first.
3. What type of person would grab this title at the bookshop, read half of the synopsis and say: “Shut up and take my money”?
A reader who wants brutal, darkly funny Los Angeles crime — blood-soaked fights, double-crosses, and a man trying to buy two days of life he may not get.
4. Which other book/piece that you have written, or will write, that makes a great pair with this one and why?
*Via Dolorosa* sits next to it on the catalog: another book about what people do when the road only opens at the bottom. Different characters, same refusal to look away.
5. Which popular/underrated book is similar to yours in style/feel?
I won’t invent a neighbor. If the reader wants darkly funny crime with a clock and no safety net, this is the one.
