Patti Lee, Award-Winning Author, Adds New Recognition
Author Patti Lee is now a multiple book award winner, as her newest novel, Tanya, We Have A Problem, was the recipient of a Bronze Award at the Global Book Awards in the Women’s Sleuths category. This award adds to the recognition Lee has received for her writing, including a First Place award from the Firebird Book Awards for her debut novel, Between February and November.
The Global Awards aim to discover new talent as well as recognize fine examples of self-published and small press books. As such, we hope they will give self-published and small press authors the recognition they deserve, whether that is in their writing creativity, or in the way they have marketed their books to attract new readers. In this modern age of self-publishing, books need to be appraised not only by their content and writing style, but also by the way they present and market themselves to the prospective buyer, whether that is in the good ratings it has on important stores like Amazon, its book cover and description, or the number of reviews it has collected. They must also appeal to new readers so part of the evaluation included a survey asking avid readers to select the top 5 books they enjoyed the most.
About Patti Lee
Patti Lee began writing in February 2019 and quickly discovered she had a lot to say. Her essay Inadvertent Life Lessons took first place in the Writers Workshop Hard Times Essay Contest, and her writing has appeared in several anthologies. In 2022, she signed with RockHill Publishing, and her debut novel, Between February and November, went on to win First Place in the Firebird Book Awards for fiction. Her newest novel, Tanya, We Have A Problem, received a Bronze Award in the Women’s Sleuths category at the Global Book Awards.
A member of the Authors Guild, Patti lives in Vermont with her husband. They’ve been married since 1988, and their household includes four cats, two dogs, and a growing collection of spreadsheets. When she’s not writing or playing with her grandkids, she serves as executive director of a small nonprofit.
