“Homo Idiotus” by William Gensburger

William Gensburger is one of the best writers we have reviewed on this blog, among so many of the great and legendary writers we have the pleasure to review their books and talk with, so reading another one of his books is a pleasure and it’s always exciting.

As you may know from the review of “Texas Dead“, by this incredible writer, we love the way William Gensburger calls upon the morale and principles, right and wrong and the human condition on his works of fiction. A very vocal person on what some people may see as “sensitive subjects”, William Gensburger does not beat around the bush and pushes the envelope on what it is and how it should be, the wrongs and the rights, and this is one of the BIGGEST reasons we are hardcore fans of this man and amazing writer.

A question that might be looming: “Is this book fiction? And if not, why is a book called “Homus Idiotus” being reviewed on Scribble’s Worth?” Well, a look at the cover will be answer enough indeed. Please take this paragraph as the last “safe space” of this review. Thank you XD.

“As I watch the television news, visit our schools, businesses, churches, listen to the music, and experience the vacuum of youth left in my wake, I am worried that we have raised a nation of idiots.  Born of excessive rights and freedoms, argued by endless attorneys and politicians, and exemplified by people with limited accountability, it seems that the ‘today’ generation plans only to get the most out of life at any cost.  Life is cheap and standards are base.”

William Gensburger

And William starts with several punches on the throat to most Americans, hahahahahaha, lovelely! In less than a page, he is able to clearly show, through a no-fucks-given attitude, what has gone wrong with the American people, and how the many of the factions of society act, react and think.

William challenges, more like “destroys”, the concept of political correctness, and shows why being agreeable at all times is stupid in the general plans of things, yes, and we agree, lol, with it because it is out of conflict that progress comes, and only progress can bring better things, while agreements stifle challenges.

There are many articles here, and each short enough that we can read under five minutes, which makes the overall reading of the book a very quick and easy task, and these articles have indeed been thoughtfully written.

A subject that William Gensburger touched that many American readers should be thinking seriously about is the fact of the requirements of the profile of the Presidents. It’s funny, and uttermost frightening that there are ABSOLUTELY no academic standards for a president in the USA. Which explains why Americans got such lousy and awful presidents lately. This extends to the politicians. How can politicians in the highest positions be required almost no standards of education? It’s scary.

Every other professional in this country is required to be well-trained through job experience or accredited degrees.  It seems only logical that the leaders of the free-world and the most powerful man on the planet, be of solid character and integrity.  And yet we require no tests of this measure and no way to assess these individuals until they are in office, and by then, for the most part, one must wait until a subsequent election in order to provide an alternative vote, passing through the same methodology as American celebrity TV. Or, as we have seen, mass hysteria along with congressional temper tantrums polarize the country in the most negative of ways.”

William Gensburger

I love how William Gensburger forces us to think and see things that we might have been ignoring, making hard-to-swallow analogies and questions as the book progresses, with its “not so serious, but DEAD serious” attitude that makes you laugh and enjoy the book without feeling attacked at all. It’s excellent!  –

Could it be that you have blindly accepted what you have been told? Or have you just learned to stop asking the questions?

– William Gensburger

This book is a fucking gem! LOVE IT! It talks about the responsibility, long lost, and that is still not being searched for, of parents when it comes to raising their children, something that affects the educational system of the country and how the educational system is dying while psychologist and psychiatrists, which aren’t scientist and exert a profession that is based upon theory and speculation, quite literally now rule the country and can destroy anyone by putting them a label of their choosing.

It’s fascinating how William Gensbury can explain deep subjects with so little words and so much humour, giving great and perfect examples on how things actually work. It shows the depth of knowledge and analysis when it comes to the issues that he brings to his readers. Enlightening.

I thank the service of the William, of calling upon the bullshit and the degree of stupidity of most people, and the latest generations of the American society and showing exactly the depth of damage that it is doing both to the present and to the future of the country and how Americans can change for the better, and save their country, while they can.

Every single American should read this book. No doubt. This book is not only factual, it is funny, easy to understand, easy to relate to, easy to read, easy to follow and to love. This is a MUST-READ.

Pros:

  • Easy to read narrative filled with light humour and some jokes
  • Concise and bit-size chapters of the book allow a fast-reading approach
  • Relevant content to the American society and to others as well when it comes to progress and hard work
  • A very much needed wake-up call to the American Society in terms of morals and values
  • A call upon more action and responsibility and accountability
  • A historical layout of the progress of the USA
  • A high focus and reference towards Emigrants, native-Americans and how the USA is constituted of several cultures from all over the world
  • This book entices and motivates independent critical thought, something in much need for most Americans, it seems

Cons:

  • I would advise that you as the reader, deeply considered upon the valuable views William Gensburger brings here, but also keep in mind that the book is opinionated by nature, which is normal
  • There scientific facts that could be more accurately put, and paid more detail towards
