The #1 Reason Most Talented Writers DON’T Succeed

Each and every person has its own definition of success, but when it comes to writing, it all revolves around those juicy “Best-seller” prizes. THAT’s the holy grail of writing.

YET, only a handful of writers get there, and most of them aren’t even talented!

SO! The question is simple: Why do most talented writers will NEVER succeed, or even get known? What stops these writers from reaching that status of glory?

Hard work? No.

Dedication? No.

GREAT content? No, not even close.

A GREAT cover? Nope, that’s irrelevant.

Contacts in the industry? They might help for a while, but not for long.

Let us look at something VERY simple and obvious yet overlooked by the majority of writers, shall we? We shall. So here it is: “Best-SELLER“!!!

It’s not “Best-Written“, not “Best-EFFORT” nor even “Best-QUALITY“, it’s best…. SELLER!!!

SALES my friends, SALES ARE THE REASON MANY WON’T EVEN MAKE IT!

Now, I, as a writer myself, understand why writers think that they aren’t salespeople. Because salesmen have a bad reputation. Because we think sales is something aggressive and it’s ALWAYS on our faces, a forceful thing, but that’s just bad salesmanship.

If you want to succeed in ANYTHING, you have to be a GREAT Salesman or saleswoman, and that includes books as well.

Ask yourself: How will you live off your books if you don’t sell them yourself? Do you think that readers will INSTANTLY realize HOW AWESOME your book is the moment you publish it on Draft2Digital

Do you think the moment you publish your book, an Agent or a publisher will email you with 100k$ for your book?

Let me tell you something: ONLY those writers that have fine-tuned sales abilities can convince agents/publishers to work with them. There’s no other way around.

Check this amazing book – Review here

Some writers have that naturally, but most don’t. But here’s the GREAT thing: You can learn how to sell. Check out our FREE E-mag for resources on that.

Now, you HATE selling, but you want to succeed as a writer, what you do? Simple: change how you think about selling.

Look, in the end, selling is nothing more, nothing less than giving services or products that are useful to other people in exchange of their money. SIMPLE.

As a writer, you spend YEARS carving and constructing a great product, a valuable product, a story with a lesson, that gives a VALUABLE experience to the reader, that will change his or her life, in exchange of a few bucks. Isn’t that fair?

You give them a GREAT, THE BEST, book you can come up with, and they buy the experience for a couple of dollars. What’s wrong with THAT? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! WHY? Because you added value to someone’s life, while you gave them the opportunity to thank you in dollars!

THAT’S A GREAT DEAL! And talking about great deals, do check my books for some mind-blowing experiences.

In another point of view, if you make a GREAT book, and you don’t share it to the world, you are ROBBING people of the opportunity to add value on their lives with your book. You are being selfish and cruel, in a way… but it’s your book, and you have all the right to withhold it.

I have become angry several times for finding GREAT books of indie writers that are SOOOO AMAZING that they deserved a PRIZE, because they were so underrated or not promoted enough by their creators.

Books like “The Rhythm of Life“, “Lipstick Asylum“, and also “Errors“, books that are ABSOLUTELY SUBLIME! But are not promoted enough. I get MAD! Mad because there is SOOOO MUCH CRAP being published and read around the world that it is DISGUSTING! Truly.

So, if you are an indie writer, DO promote your book! DO promote your book for the sake of literature!
