Why you as a writer should demand recycled paper printing.

1 – You will save trees. A lot of them.

Did you know that 80%+ of all the presses still manufacture books with virgin pulp? Yes, that’s right. By publishing your book normally, you are helping global warming escalate and motivating presses to keep on ordering the cut down of trees, for no good reason.

2- Readers adore recycled paper.

Forget the plain white pages and bring some texture to paperbacks. Recycled paper, unlike virgin pulp, has a very attractive texture that heightens the letters of the book, helping to make the story even more enticing.

3- You will be sending a message.

If readers notice that your books are only printed by recycled paper, unlike other writers, you will distinguish yourself from the crowd by showing your reader that you indeed care about the environment.

4- You’ll cut costs and add flavor to your story.

They are cheaper overall, and they will “get old” faster, and you know that there isn’t a more powerful combination than the smell of old books, ink and coffee when it comes to reading.

5- You can publish digital only.

If there is no press that wants to print your book with recycled paper, well, publish digital only. Or create your own press, find out how here: “To Ceos and other dummies”.

To CEOs & Other Dummies is a book that addresses simple solutions of the several issues we face about the climate, sea wildlife, desertification in many countries, CO2 levels, GMOs, floods, deforestation, world hunger, with an emphasis to plastic pollution, in order to create awareness to the general population, companies and governments while showing them why and how caring for the environment is better, and most of the times, more profitable in the short and long run.

Half of the profits from this book will be donated to companies that help clean up the ocean like 4Ocean and the OceanCleanup project
