The Enigma Heirs return in Enigma Forced. In book two in the Enigma Heirs series authors Breakfield and Burkey bring lovers of the series to the next stage in the Heirs journey. The Enigma Heirs quest continues to protect and safeguard the innocent. Get excited for this intense thriller that will keep you glued to the very last page.
The cover for Enigma Forced sets the stage by giving readers a glimpse of what’s to come. The background of this book’s cover is an outdoor scene. On the left, a road flows up the cover with an 18-wheeler truck driving up it. Then your eye is drawn to the woman running caught in the crosshairs. Then there is a young woman with her head down sitting on the steps. Above her are a couple of bitcoins hinting at what readers will find in this book.

The cover of Enigma Forced accurately tells the tale of what readers will discover in this book – bitcoins utilized as a part of the trafficking/human smuggling, and the continued search for two young girls who were abducted. The big question of how everything will play out is dominant, but readers will be eager to unravel this story.
Authors Breakfield and Burkey kick off Enigma Forced with a bang. Picture it – two men driving an 18-wheeler. They are out in rural Texas heading towards a specific “checkpoint.” The problem? Well, they’re lost, and that means that they are officially behind schedule for delivery. Of course, authors Breakfield and Burkey have a twist winding up for readers.
Brace yourself, something you’re not expecting is coming your way. The first chapter of Enigma Forced will expertly build the drama of what is going to be found the deeper you go into this novel. One thing that readers are going to appreciate is the realistic nature of this beginning chapter and how it sets the stage for the rest of the story.
As Enigma Forced unfolds the key players of this novel will start to appear rapidly. You’re going to meet the Enigma Heirs – JJ, JW, Gracie, Marian, Brayson, Judith, and her friend Xiamara. These are the good guys, and then on the other side are Mateo, Julian, Rodrigo, and a few other minor henchmen.
Enigma Forced continues the story of the Enigma Heirs from Enigma Tracer. That being said, Enigma Forced can be read as a standalone novel. From Enigma Tracer readers will remember how the Enigma Heirs were trying to save two young Mexican girls who were being groomed to be trafficked. The team was successful to a point when Mateo and his men outwitted them and took the girls back.

Enigma Forced focuses on finding and freeing these two girls before they are sold off. Don’t worry, this book is more than just that. Enigma Forced highlights the danger and the horror of human trafficking. Authors Breakfield and Burkey point out the dangers that immigrants experience and endure in their quest to find a better life for themselves and their families.
The quest of the team in Enigma Forced is to bring down Mateo and his trafficking empire. This story draws readers in with gripping drama, and realistic scenes and situations. Mateo is the focus of the team, but he is not the dominant player who is focused on in this installment of the series. Instead, his right-hand man, Julian becomes the focus.
Julian is an intriguing character. He becomes the primary focus of the story as he is the handler for the two kidnapped girls from book one. The Enigma team isn’t truly aware of him until later on in the story, but he is not someone to be trifled with. He’s good at what he does, and as a bad guy, you can’t help but be drawn in. Your curiosity to discover what exactly is going on with him will drive readers to dig deeper into this book.
Trust us on this one – there is more to Julian than meets the eye. Readers are definitely going to get the sense that Julian is up to something. He is constantly trying to drive a wedge between Mateo and one of his other men throughout this story. There are layers upon layers in this story, but the foundation for Julian is probably more set up in the first book.

The bad guys will really snatch the spotlight when it comes to Enigma Forced. They will, for a good part of the story, have the more interesting chapters and scenes. Gradually though, the R-Group and CATS teams will find their stride and begin to shine as well.
There is a good amount of suspense in this novel. Authors Breakfield and Burkey give readers many facets of Enigma Forced. The authors give readers the tragedy of young teens being lured into the evils of trafficking. We get those desperate for a better life making a dangerous journey to the “Land of Opportunity” only to be preyed upon by the cartels.
Enigma Forced is written as a truly engaging and realistic novel. Authors Breakfield and Burkey draw readers in with each turn of the page. You are getting a healthy amount of drama, intense suspense, and several nail-biting situations. These two authors place their characters in intense situations and create a gripping storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next.

Enigma Forced blends together scenes that play out in Mexico and the United States. Readers are going to get a taste of “narco-wars” between Mateo and other cartels in his area. These scenes and situations, while few and far between help to add an additional level of realism to this book.
Enigma Forced closes in a blaze of glory, but if you think that you won’t be curious as to what happens next…guess again. While authors Breakfield and Burkey close the chapter on one of the bad guys in this novel/series there is still more than one who slips the net and will potentially continue to be a threat to the R-Group and CATS team. Only time will tell, but you’ll be curious enough to continue this series.
Enigma Forced is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone novel. This novel touches back on situations that take place in book one, but even if you haven’t read the first you can enjoy this book with no problems.
