Before we answer this question, we have to ask ourselves: What’s the goal of a Book Review? A book review’s main objective is to share the reviewer’s experience with the book to a potential reader of the review.

With this in mind, we can answer the question in hand: Do (positive) reviews sell books? No. They don’t sell books, but, depending on what is said on the review, a good review will surely increase the chances of readers buy the book in question.
How much can a review increase the chances of readers buying my books?
We cannot answer that, because that is very hard to measure. HOWEVER, from our experience, we can empirically say that reviews made by us, have an approximately 6-10% conversion ratio to clicks on the sales links.

Meaning: For every 6-10 views a review gets, there’s one click to the sales page, where, 80% of the time, turns into a sale. The best channel for sales so far is Amazon, with 95% of clicks.
We are currently testing and measuring the factors that influence click-troughs, and we will come up with more accurate stats soon.
